Clients across the spectrum
of the nonprofit sector.
MAR Consulting reaches out to clients across the nonprofit sector, from human services and animal support to education to international, historical institutions. Our clients reflect the great variety in size, both in budget size and staff size that distinguish the breadth inherent in not-for-profit work.
Our engagements are based on retainers, either monthly or per-project, that are defined by specific deliverables and clear timelines. The key in forging an effective relationship is shaping a scope of work that will balance the resources any particular client may have available with the extent of services MAR Consulting will need to provide. Working closely with our prospective clients at the beginning of the engagement, we can together increase or decreasing the number of expected deliverables, and establish a fast or slow timeline for execution. MAR Consulting can work with the budget of most any client to forge an appropriate engagement.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation
Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, located at the site of the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp in Osweicim, Poland, launched a capital campaign to secure $154m. This endowment will provide the resources annually to preserve the thousands of artifacts and buildings for which the Museum is responsible, including 110,000 shoes, 45 brick barracks, 12,000 pots and pans, and 300 yards of archival materials. To date, the campaign has raised $130m from 29 countries, including Poland, Germany, Israel and the United States.
MAR Consulting assists the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation in the closing phase of its campaign, to secure 18 Pillars of Remembrance. These 18 Pillars will represent 18 individuals or foundations each pledging $1.3m (1m Euro) to the preservation of the Museum’s tragic and unforgettable artifacts and buildings.
PAWS/LA
Pets are Wonderful Support/Los Angeles (PAWS/LA) preserves the loving bond between people and their companion animals by providing services to assist low-income seniors and people disabled by a life-threatening illness so they may keep and care for their pets.
MAR Consulting helped PAWS/LA pursue a spring fundraising campaign and established a grant acquisition program, which included researching granting organizations, maintaining a grant application calendar, and drafting grant aplications. MAR Consulting provided development support for PAWS/LA’s Silver Jubilee Gala.
Partners for Developing Futures
Partners for Developing Futures (PDF) works to close the achievement gap experienced by communities of color by supporting and mentoring leaders of color. MAR Consulting assisted PDF with fund development.
